I have compiled a list of 10 usefull wordpress plugins for ease of use. Check them out or suggest more.
1. Event Registration
You can use this for anything from concert to lan registrations. It places the registering peoples contact information in a database and provides an association to an events database. It can also send people to your paypal payment site for online payment. It also has reporting features incliuding; excel export, list of attendees and list of events.
2. NextGen Gallery
This great image gallery for wordpress very customisable with an awesome back end interface. Its features include, albums, watermarks, lightbox, intergrated flash slideshow and much, much more. Flash addos can be found here.
3. Lightbox Plus
…intergrates Lightbox JS by Lokesh Dhakar into wordpress. Lightbox JS permits users to view larger versions of images without leaving the page, the image is overlayed with either a dark or light background to dim out the rest of the content.
4. Contact Form 7
This simple plugin can support multiple contact forms and can be customised with simple markup. The forms support ajax-power submitting, captcha and akismet spam filtering.
5. WP E-Commerce
…is a aestheticly pleasing, easy to use e-commerce solution for wordpress and includes a fully featured shopping cart perfect for selling products or services straight from your wordpress install.
6. Related Posts
Displays a list for related posts matched by tags.
7. Simple Tagging Plugin
Similar to the Ultimate Tag Worrior (UTW) only with more features.
8. Highlight Comments
Highlights comments to show your users what commens are worth reading using custom-fields. It can also highlight the your (the blogger) comments automatically.
9. Simple Yearly Archive
…is a simple Wordpress plugin that allows you to display your archives in a year-based list. Smart Archives creates either a chronological list of all your posts or displays blocks of years (the second one is hard to explain, check out the demo.
10. My Ad Manager
There are many plugins to manage 125×125 ads, but the most unique feature of this plugin is that it automates ALL the procedures, including buying of Ads through PayPal and displaying them in your website automatically. It uses the PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) feature.
